Great breakfast and lunch at a reasonable price which is rare in Boston. Great place to stop while working since they are usually quick with orders. Small section to sit down and eat but mostly a takeout place

Honestly, any time I go here the food and coffee isn't that great. Very overrated.
The last time I was here, I ordered one thing, and the girl who got it for me was trying to find a pen for me to sign the receipt. She finally said "The pen? I don't know," and continued with another customer's order. So I had to grab a highlighter from their cup and sign it. That was very unprofessional, in my opinion. -

I visited the Mud House on a Saturday afternoon. The young lady who took my order was a little rude - she didn't smile and seemed annoyed to be taking orders. Most of the other girls working seemed equally annoyed about it. Also, the place is cash only which is mildly inconvenient. This is where the 2 stars come off.
On the positive side, the young man working the counter was polite and friendly, and made small talk with customers who were sitting at the counter. The prices are more than fair - some items they charge about 4.50 for would cost 9.00 in other coffee shops.
The garlic bagel I got was amazing, the coffee was decent, and my husband's breakfast sandwich was delicious. I got a nutella and berries sandwich to try as well that i'm sure will be great. If the customer service was consistent throughout the staff, this place would earn 5 stars. -

I'm staying in Boston for the weekend and my favorite places to explore are the small hole in the wall restaurants. This is the best one yet! I am a breakfast food and bagel fanatic and they have the best bagels I've ever had! The iced coffee is amazing too and their prices are even better! I'm so glad I stopped in this morning, will definitely be going back!
